Happy Newt Year!

Happy Newt Year, everyone! The moment I saw this little guy on Hambo (http://hambochallenges.blogspot.com/) , I knew that I must have him!!!

I submitted him into the Hambo Hoedown challenge. Challenge was to use Newt and to also use something new on the project. My "New" items are the blue Magic Mesh (thanks Mary) and Clock Icon (thanks T). I must have had this paper for around 3 or 4 years. I'm determined to use up items that have been in my scraproom for eons (it seems)!

Here is what I used: Reptile by Hambo printed on Exact Index Wausau paper, Artsy Circles - Evergreen by KI Memories, Textured paper (unknown), Glossy Accents by Ranger, Clock Icons Spare Parts by Paper Studio, Brad (unknown), Blue Magic Mesh, Pop Dots - double sided adhesive - dimensional glue dots (unknown), White Uniball by Signo, Copics - YG01 Y00 B97 YG17 E95 V20 YG67 B45 V25 Colorless Blender.

Love the dots made with the colorless blender. I thinks it gives little Newt a personality!

I, for one, am very happy that 2011 is outta here. It was a doozy of a year! Don't want it repeated, with the exception of my new nephew/godchild!

I wish everyone a very healthy and prosperous New Year.

Thanks for stopping by!

December - 6"x6" calendar pages

Boo hoo! This is my last page!!! I really enjoyed making these gifts. I know the special people receiving them for Christmas will love them. I used up some paper and stamps that I hadn't touched. That's always a plus.

The camera made the first photo dark and couldn't do anything to fix that. I promise you, the paper matches!

With that said, here is what I used: Tulip/Olive/Hollyhock/Pacifica cardstock by CTMH, Jingle paper by CTMH, Versamark, Red Zing Embossing Powder by American Crafts, Black distressing ink by CTMH, Red/white rhinestones by CTMH, Red line rhinestones by Paper Studio, Jingle My Stickease by CTMH, Tulip Exclusive Inks by CTMH, Red Glitz by CTMH, Iridescent glitter glue (unknown), D1313 December Word Puzzle/D1492 Christmas Love My Acrylix Stamp sets by CTMH.

Well, I've got some other projects to post that I worked on this Christmas for gifts. I guess after Christmas I will start making layouts and working on some challenges.

I would like to wish everyone a very blessed and joyous Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my calendar!

January - 6"x6" Calendars

Here is the official proof of my glitter and bling addiction. These are my January pages from my 6"x6" calendars I made for Christmas gifts. I made a main page (with the actual calendar on it) and a important dates/birthday page. I was worried that if you put it on a desk that is in the open, you would have the back of a page. So, I couldn't have that!!!!

Some pics show the closeup of some of the elements of the pages. I love the colors; they mesh really well.

Here's what I used: Good Times paper by CTMH, Twilight and Chocolate cardstock by CTMH, Chocolate Exclusive Inks by CTMH, Chocolate Distressing ink by CTMH, Adirondak Espresso Embossing Powder by Ranger, Versamark Ink, 2" Scallop punch by CTMH, D1257 Make it Count My Acrylix stamp set by CTMH, Clear Sparkles by CTMH, D1268 January Word puzzle and C1402 In the Month of January My Acrylix stamp sets by CTMH, Bronze Glitz by CTMH, Say it with Crystals by Prima, Stardust Glitz by CTMH, Good Times My Stickease by CTMH, Black Exclusive Inks by CTMH and rhinestones from my stash.

My 2012 Calendars - Covers

Every year I want to make some Christmas gifts, but never follow thru. I either, start and never have the time to finish, or don't even start at all. This year, since I can't work, I've gotten off of my duff and not only started, but finished one Christmas gift project.

I made 2012 6"x6" calendars. Actually, I made 8 of them! I'm not saying who's getting them; it's a surprise!

Here is the first set of pics. It is of the front cover, inside back cover and outside back cover.

I'm going to post a new month's set of pages every couple of days.

The base is a My Creations Display Album by CTMH. On the front cover I used: Roxie paper by CTMH, Roxie My Stickease by CTMH, Cotton Candy and Fruit Punch Stickles.
On the inside back cover and outside back cover, I used: Roxie paper by CTMH and Hollyhock cardstock by CTMH.

Check back soon for January's pages.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spooky Halloween

This is my entry for the ScrapbookPlace challenge for the trick or treat bag.
You had to pick five items out of the trick or treat bag - Raisins, Popcorn balls, caramel apple, Pennies, Snickers, Bubble gum, Suckers/lollipops, Kit Kat, Smarties, Oranges, 3 Muskateers, Nerds, Skittles, Hershey Kisses, Tootsie Rolls, M & Ms, Taffy, Peanuts, Gummi Bears and Wax lips.

(The first page is the left and the second page is the right page.)

Each of those items were then assigned a papercrafting item - Raisins -- Anything purple, Popcorn balls -- 2 different patterned papers, Caramel apple -- heat embossing, Pennies -- a colored image, etc.

My items were gummi bears - office product - staples used on the ribbon on the left side of the left page, Nerds - holes - two holes at the top and two holes at the bottom on the right side of the right page, Smarties - twine/cord - waxy flax used by the bats on the right side of the right page, popcorn balls - 2 different patterned paper - I used 3 different papers and caramel apples - heat embossed item - all the bats and skulls are heat embossed.

All items used were from CTMH with the exception of the ribbon (from my stash), unknown silver embossing powder, black Zing embossing powder and the silver Shimmer Spritz. Paper pack was Mischief and stamp set was C1477. The felt shapes are Midnight. These three items were in the Mischief Workshop on the go packet.

I left the space bare on the right page on the right side to put a journaling spot or an extra picture. Not sure which way I want to go with that. Plus, there is two inches of space on the top and the bottom of each page for a title. Not sure about that either.

This was fun and I haven't scrapped an actual layout in forever!
I hope you like it!

Happy Birthday, Parker!!!

Happy birthday to Parker!! Well, not until the 23rd but his party is today!

I made a couple of cards for me and Mark to give to him and the other will be from my mom and dad.

Parker's going to be 9! I remember when his mom was still pregnant with him while she was a bridesmaid in my wedding.

The theme of his party is I guess military. The invites had a tank on the front, so I made him two military themed cards.

The card with the soldier will be from my mom and dad.

Here's what I used: Camo patterned paper by Paper Studio, Image from http://www.freecoloring.info/, DCWV and Bazill cardstock, Chocolate distressing ink from CTMH, Tarnished Brass Distress Stickles, Dimensional Elements from CTMH, Copics - G99 G85 G24 G28 B00 E30 E00 Y00 E31 YG95 W2 YG63 W4 YG99 YG97 YG67. Card is 6x6.

The other card ("Hope your birthday is the bomb!!!) is the one Mark and I are giving him. I really like the way it has turned out.

Used the same materials but used Golden Rod Stickles instead of Tarnished Brass and used Copics - YG63 W4 YG99 YG95 YG67.

I hope he has a great birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Ellee from Hello Kitty!!!

Happy Birthday to my neice, Ellee!!! She's going to be five!! I can't believe it!

The theme for her party is going to be Hello Kitty. Great theme for a little girl!

Of course I had to make her a card. However, I don't have any Hello Kitty items. Went to Hobby Lobby and no luck. They only had party supplies. So I put my fingers to work and started searching the internet. I found an awesome website that has coloring pages for any kid theme you can think of - http://www.freecoloring.info/. Hope she likes it!!

Here's the details: Bazzil cardstock base, Birthday Extravaganza patterned paper by Paper Studio, Stardust Glitz by CTMH, Ribbon from my stash, Red Glitz by CTMH, Sparkle burst Brads by Karen Foster Design, White rhinestone strip from Paper Studio, Copics - RV06 R27 Y15 YG05 YR68. Card is 6"x6".

Here is the second card I made for my mom and dad to give to Ellee. Same items were used except no Brad Burst and I added a CTMH Happy Birthday sentiment.
