Happy Autumn from my patch to yours....

You want to know why fall is my favorite season?  It's the colors!  I love dark, rich browns, reds, greens and oranges.  I think my card has all of that and a cute bunny in the punkin' patch to boot!

That cute little guy is HARVEST BUNNY from Hambo.  I'm using him (or maybe her?) for this week's Hambo Hoedown challenge #84.   This week's challenge is to use HARVEST BUNNY (or any other Hambo image) and the sketch provided by Hambo.  Here's the sketch:

I love Hambo's challenges.  They have some of the cutest digis with great sentiments, a great design team AND you get a free image if you complete all the requirements for the challenge!  Way cool!

Here's what I used:

Halloween is near....

Yep, it's almost that time again.  Time for the little witches, ghosts and goblins to come trick or treating.  I have the best time passing out candy, seeing all the kids in costumes!  Some of the little ones are so excited they can't wait to tell you what they are for Halloween.  My husband, on the other hand, dresses up every year to scare!  We've had kids so scared they dropped their candy and their bicycle!

Here is a card I made for the Squigglefly challenge -  SFC3812 Go to the Corner! - using Littlest Witch and Ghost by artist Lynne Stansbery.   Here's the challenge, "This week's theme is called "Go to the Corner!" I am sure if you ever misbehaved in school, you might have heard that. Since I know most of you were NEVER like that, then let me say that the challenge this week is to add wonderful decoration to the CORNERS of your card, either one, two, or ALL of them."  My top two corners are embellished with some glittery spiders and rhinestone stickers.  Don't forget, to qualify for the prize, your image has to be from Squigglefly.  They have great freebies to try too!  Check 'em out here.

I actually made two of these cards, one to use for a card swap in October where you have to use ribbon or fiber.  Two birds, one stone!

Here's what I used:

Fall has come back and so have I!!!

First, I'm so glad to be back and creating again!  The last few months have been the most stressful months in my life and had no outlet (sorry Mark, I know I've been unbearable.)  It felt nice to have all of my supplies organized in their new home and to be able to sit down and actually create something.

So many changes happened - moving in with my parent's, having to sell my house, health - since May that sometimes it seems surreal.  But I believe God has a plan for you and sometimes it isn't an easy one.

With that being said, in comes the fresh, cool air of fall and my new attitude!

This is my card for a card swap in my Yahoo group - ScrapbookPlace.  I hope my partner will like it because I enjoyed making it!

I turned some supplies that had been sitting in my Fall/Thanksgiving folder and my swapped stamped images bin into this card.  The background of the card was an embellished journal box from a fall swap last year.  I turned it on the side and shortened the box.  The stamped image was from the group also.  I got out my Distress Inks and my sponges and went to town!  I then fussy cut the image and pop-dotted it on the base.  The card base was some Chocolate leftover cardstock from some invitations I made for my sister's wedding - over 5 years ago.  Can you say, hoarder.  Yay!!! Old supplies used.

Here's some of the materials:
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads by Ranger in Mustard Seed, Forest Moss, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick.
  • Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid glue (for the leaf)
  • EK Success Fleur de Lis border punch
I hope to be posting more creations soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
