Spooky Halloween

This is my entry for the ScrapbookPlace challenge for the trick or treat bag.
You had to pick five items out of the trick or treat bag - Raisins, Popcorn balls, caramel apple, Pennies, Snickers, Bubble gum, Suckers/lollipops, Kit Kat, Smarties, Oranges, 3 Muskateers, Nerds, Skittles, Hershey Kisses, Tootsie Rolls, M & Ms, Taffy, Peanuts, Gummi Bears and Wax lips.

(The first page is the left and the second page is the right page.)

Each of those items were then assigned a papercrafting item - Raisins -- Anything purple, Popcorn balls -- 2 different patterned papers, Caramel apple -- heat embossing, Pennies -- a colored image, etc.

My items were gummi bears - office product - staples used on the ribbon on the left side of the left page, Nerds - holes - two holes at the top and two holes at the bottom on the right side of the right page, Smarties - twine/cord - waxy flax used by the bats on the right side of the right page, popcorn balls - 2 different patterned paper - I used 3 different papers and caramel apples - heat embossed item - all the bats and skulls are heat embossed.

All items used were from CTMH with the exception of the ribbon (from my stash), unknown silver embossing powder, black Zing embossing powder and the silver Shimmer Spritz. Paper pack was Mischief and stamp set was C1477. The felt shapes are Midnight. These three items were in the Mischief Workshop on the go packet.

I left the space bare on the right page on the right side to put a journaling spot or an extra picture. Not sure which way I want to go with that. Plus, there is two inches of space on the top and the bottom of each page for a title. Not sure about that either.

This was fun and I haven't scrapped an actual layout in forever!
I hope you like it!

Happy Birthday, Parker!!!

Happy birthday to Parker!! Well, not until the 23rd but his party is today!

I made a couple of cards for me and Mark to give to him and the other will be from my mom and dad.

Parker's going to be 9! I remember when his mom was still pregnant with him while she was a bridesmaid in my wedding.

The theme of his party is I guess military. The invites had a tank on the front, so I made him two military themed cards.

The card with the soldier will be from my mom and dad.

Here's what I used: Camo patterned paper by Paper Studio, Image from http://www.freecoloring.info/, DCWV and Bazill cardstock, Chocolate distressing ink from CTMH, Tarnished Brass Distress Stickles, Dimensional Elements from CTMH, Copics - G99 G85 G24 G28 B00 E30 E00 Y00 E31 YG95 W2 YG63 W4 YG99 YG97 YG67. Card is 6x6.

The other card ("Hope your birthday is the bomb!!!) is the one Mark and I are giving him. I really like the way it has turned out.

Used the same materials but used Golden Rod Stickles instead of Tarnished Brass and used Copics - YG63 W4 YG99 YG95 YG67.

I hope he has a great birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Ellee from Hello Kitty!!!

Happy Birthday to my neice, Ellee!!! She's going to be five!! I can't believe it!

The theme for her party is going to be Hello Kitty. Great theme for a little girl!

Of course I had to make her a card. However, I don't have any Hello Kitty items. Went to Hobby Lobby and no luck. They only had party supplies. So I put my fingers to work and started searching the internet. I found an awesome website that has coloring pages for any kid theme you can think of - http://www.freecoloring.info/. Hope she likes it!!

Here's the details: Bazzil cardstock base, Birthday Extravaganza patterned paper by Paper Studio, Stardust Glitz by CTMH, Ribbon from my stash, Red Glitz by CTMH, Sparkle burst Brads by Karen Foster Design, White rhinestone strip from Paper Studio, Copics - RV06 R27 Y15 YG05 YR68. Card is 6"x6".

Here is the second card I made for my mom and dad to give to Ellee. Same items were used except no Brad Burst and I added a CTMH Happy Birthday sentiment.
